5.Riding the Demon Asina and Ciel Location: Certann Forest The forest was dark and breathing. Alive and writhing. Deadly.
It had been too long since Asina had last been among these particular shadows, too long since she had last walked between these trees and tasted this darkness, let it fill her up like it was right now. For a long moment she stood just at the edge of the forest that had once occupied most of Ameghda, what was now expanses of dead land. She had lived and ruled from within these shadows. Her people had lived and died, killed and survived within them, and she had defended them, protected them as well as she could until it had all been destroyed in the Second Purge and she’d had no choice but to found Tekania and move her people to where she could protect them from all sides.
And here she was. On the edge of the forest once more.
Nightmare growled and pawed angrily at the ground, snorting as he watched her, eager to dart into the forest but unwilling to pass his queen to do so. Coal black eyes shifted to him and the demon horse quieted. He would give his sovereign her moment.
One hand reached out and she touched the bark of the nearest tree. She could feel a jolt of power rush through her and she shuddered, her hand curling into a fist against the rough skin of the tree, her body shaking slightly as she took in a deep breath.
Her eyes both darkened and became brighter as they went from black to gold as her power filled her. No, not only filled her, flowed through her. Became her. Was enhanced.
The forest pulsed and then she stepped among the trees and in that moment every single one of her people in that forest knew that their queen had returned to its embrace. The power of the land really was tied into the power of the Priestess. That, at least, was not just myth and legend.
She whirled around and grinned up at Ciel savagely, her power blooming, her canines sharp and her expression vicious as she raked her claws down a tree. “There are intruders in my forest, Ciel,” she growled. “They taint it with their breath. Let us send a clear message that they are unwelcome here.” A low, sensual laugh.
Said intruders picked the wrong day to sneak around Certann forest.

There was one place in this world that knew his desires and urges. And its dark, beautiful claws were reaching out to pull him and tear him in. The vermillion that shined in his once clear golden eyes was thirsty and wretched. A dark chuckle shook his wide shoulders as his beautiful queen’s power pulsed within him until he felt his heart beat with it. It surged him and vibrated down to his very core. He turned his face to the dark shades of the tree and shuddered a breath as his muscles flexed. The demonic stallion to his right seemed to be experiencing the same euphoria as it all but clawed the ground. Nightmare. Hn. It was not the greatest of relationships, but it was more than what he and Zanen were. Nightmare had accepted Ciel as Asina’s mate as Ciel had accepted Nightmare’s true bond with his queen. The respect and their queen was what connected both demons, staying out of each other’s way was what kept it neutral.
A wicked smirk wove its way across his features as she turned to him. The gold in her eyes and the power that hummed across his skin and sensitive senses made a lustful tremor course his spine. His back was jealous of that tree trunk as his eyes watched her talons. He felt his seductive power beckon him, caress him… to let go.
“Clear…,” he purred, pulling her into him roughly before laughing soullessly, “My dear… We will paint the boundaries scarlet with your ‘preciously’ snapped puppets.” His eyes were beginning to swirl to a brighter rouge, baring his teeth to her, raking her back with his hands. His voice grew husky as he leaned down to her ear.
“I will paint you scarlet…”

Oh she was a delightfully enraged, needful thing as he pulled her against him. Her hands grabbed his shoulders, talons still out and pressing into his flesh without ripping cloth or shedding blood, a display of her skill and control. Those talons were sharp and she deft enough with them to easily rip muscle and flesh away from bone, a feeling she was aching to sink into. She needed to enact savagery upon these intruders.
She would send their mangled remains back to that wretched brat with a big, brightly colored bow. The Golden Queen would undoubtedly think it was some sort of present from some ruler in an adjacent realm. Those long, soft fingers would press to her lips in greedy excitement and she would tear away the paper. When she opened the trunk, the smell would hit her first, then the soulless, empty eyes of those who had perished in painful terror would lock gazes with her and she would shriek.
She would scream, and she would know who had sent the lovely little gift.
Ciel’s whispered promises made her growl, and that growl turned into a low and vicious moan as she yanked them back two steps, just enough to have both of them fully in the embrace of the forest. The power that ripped through her made her gasp and moan, her grip tightening her, her body pressing against his. It rolled through her and into him, through the both of them, and she let out a low, joyous sound of murder and depravity.
“Yes,” she purred to him with a dark and knowing smirk, her eyes flashing gold, “you will.”
Then she pulled away from him and turned to Nightmare. The horse had watched hungrily at their interaction and now stepped up to her, his head slightly bowed in deference to her power. She touched his nose, stroking a slender, powerful hand up and down the length of it. Just the touch made the demon equine shudder, his eyes closed. When he opened them they were a deep, blood red.
“Nightmare,” she crooned, her voice a whisper of pure darkness, “I am going to rip into them with my own hands. I will be the savage queen they fear. I will drain them of their pain. You will take my weapons and extra clothing to the grove where all shadows are born, then you can meet us and join in the slaughter.” As she spoke she removed her thin, curved sword and the long knives at her hips she usually fought with. Her eyes then turned to Ciel and she began to slowly strip down to a thin sleeveless shirt that fit tight as a second skin to her body and her trousers. When she was done she secured them to the demon horse and slanted a smirk to Ciel, silently asking if he was going to do the same or if he preferred a sword in his hand and armor on his back.

To watch her tremble and quake within his arms was unbelievably empowering. The way her power skimmed across his skin in such an electricfying way made a purr vibrate through him. The sounds she uttered against him drove him into such a lust. She made him feel so evil, so wicked, so sadistic…
He groaned roughly as her nails brought him back, grounded him for a few moments. How he loved the vertigo she warped his senses with. The forest’s dark shadowed embrace of the pair only seemed to heighten his sense of freedom. Freedom of civil ties and politics, freedom of chains and boundaries, and, most importantly,… The freedom to slaughter. The power was so immense that it rolled over him like vicious waves of the Northern Sea. He could only fight to stay standing and not be taken out to sea, lost in the massive amount of this seemingly unlimited source.
As Asina broke their proximity and went to stroke her precious mount, his senses began to shift. They began to simplify to the way he was when he reached those palace steps so many centuries ago. Only the simplest of emotions were used. Only the simplest of emotions were needed. He bit back the baring of his teeth and the jealousy he felt softly, what was left of his civil senses re-establishing Nightmare’s stance with his mate.
His vision clouded into a beautiful crimson, unable to differentiate color, only reds and blacks, his eyes so beautifully saturated. Good, red was the easiest color to see with anyway. A wicked smile bloomed from his features.
He leaned against the trunk of a thick tree as his half-lidded eyes, full of lust and a dark desire, observed his precious mate remove her layers of clothing. He allowed those eyes to imagine /just/ the way she looked underneath that thin, tight shirt of hers. He could stop his tongue from licking his lips in such a predatorial way as he could only think of towering over her, herding her, ripping into her… He was loosing his control, the thin veil of control was slowly tearing at the fibers and the heat of him was about to send it up in flames as he fell to his deepest, darkest, and most vicious desires. His reason was becoming deafer and deafer by the minute…
Wait, it purred to him as he growled, Listen… He snarled in response before Asina’s voice rang clearer, her eyes, her beautiful golden eyes, full of her seductive question.
He was distracted by them, those deistic orbs. A shudder stroked his spine. He would’ve had her on the ground, underneath him before they could even be an inch within their dark surrounding realm, but her horse hadn’t left yet. No… Nightmare would not be happy by the display Ciel was imagining. The dark amused grin on his face could only hint to the ideas the demon was running through as he eyed her slowly, those blood drenched optics caressing her every curve. Simple emotions.
He heard himself chuckle, before his hands unbuckled his bracers, which fell to the forest floor, along with his leather vest and cotton shirt. He pulled his bare feet out of the boots’ firm grasp. His loose black pants hung low on his hipbones as his bare chest was left in plain sight, the glimmering white strips of scar tissue viciously slashed numerously across his heart. He cracked his neck slowly before his gaze returned to his queen.
“Your puppets await, my dear,” he purred darkly, erotically, promising her such a wondrous bloodbath.

Mm. She could taste every dark thought, every evil little pulse within the forest. Every creature within its sweetly shadowed embrace that was hers fed into her power, fed into her hunger and her rage. It fueled her, it drove her up to an enraged high that had her soaring through ecstasy and drowning in her own desires. Oh, but she had never been more clearheaded, never been more true to herself. It was wondrous. Intoxicating. Addictive in all of the sweetest ways, and Asina had no desire to resist, no need.
She could let it consume her completely. She did.
Nightmare twined around her like a feline, butting his head against her, touching as much of her skin as he could while she watched Ciel undress, those deep golden eyes never leaving his toned and powerful form. Her gaze was dark and sensuous, leaving little illusion that she was thinking anything other than the potential of the man and the body that was his to command and abuse, and thus hers to command and abuse. She watched him, and she wanted to rip into him, she wanted to feel him inside of her, wanted to feel him all around her, sheathed within while she rode him, her teeth sinking into his neck deep enough that she was able to taste the sweet intoxication of his blood. Bathe in it. Become drunk on it. Mix it with her own in the throes of their own savage passion.
Perfectly shaped lips parted and a slick tongue darted out to lick them moist as her thoughts reflected in her expression. The kind of sheer primal and animalistic power rolling off of her made Nightmare shudder and move closer against her, his neck craned down and around her shoulders, locking her to his muscular chest as he breathed in the scent of his true queen and his bonded rider. His eyes remained closed until he felt her slender fingers thread through his mane and grip it tightly.
“Go now, Nightmare,” she crooned softly to him and the demon stallion let out a shuddered breath. “Be quick. We will not wait for you to begin.” Then she stepped away from him and the stallion reared, let out a powerful bugle, and galloped off through the trees.
Asina turned to Ciel and her expression was raw, savage, primal as she glided up to him, her body moving so liquidly it seemed she had muscles in places impossible for her petite anatomy. She bared her teeth at him and snarled, her talons still out and sharp as she grabbed his shoulders to pull him to her to mate their lips in a possessive, hungry kiss. It lasted hardly a few seconds before she ripped away from him and padded a few steps back, incomprehensibly light on her feet.
“Come,” she said with a wicked smirk. “We hunt.”
Then she turned and dashed into the forest, running silently on bare feet toward their prey, allowing the forest to caress her as she ran. Indeed, somehow, it seemed as if the world had grown darker, and the darkness itself somehow thicker for her presence. Her eyes were that deep gold streaked with a burnt crimson of her power and her bloodlust, her need for slaughter, her lust for that most delicious of all prizes. The Certann Forest seemed to know this. It seemed to understand, seemed to be in tune with her deepest needs and desires, and enabled them. Because in the camp where Lilani’s little puppet spies were huddled -around a hundred warriors masquerading as a caravan of merchants or traders or refugees- the forest seemed to grow more dense and somehow sadistically ominous.
The leader of this particular group looked up from the small campfire he was cooking his dinner over and frowned, sensing something was wrong. He was a shapeshifter, some kind of a raptor. It was his second in command, a kindle demon of considerable strength, though, that felt the witchstorm of wrath and bloodlust shooting toward them. The power that the source wasn’t even bothering to try to conceal.
Why would she? It was her forest.
Asina halted just at the edge of the camp, high in the boughs of a tree, and looked down at the men, a sickly perverse smile on her face at the thought of the screaming mess they would be in a few short moments. She flexed her fingers, studied her talons speculatively, then turned to Ciel.
“Paint the world scarlet, Mine,” she hissed, a dangerous, sleepy look in her eyes. “Paint me crimson. Bathe us in disaster.”
A low, malevolent chuckle resounded from her lips and she did not bother to smother it.
Down below, the avian commander frowned and looked around. “What was that?” he asked, and his frown deepened when his gaze landed on his second in command. He was pale and terrified. Shaking. “Death,” he croaked. “Our death. All of ours.” “What are you talking about, Jez?” The kindle demon gestured with his head to the tree Asina was perched in.
After squinting up at the petite form of the Demon Queen, he frowned. “A girl? Probably a sprite or something, she can’t be the cause of whatever’s going on. Probably harmless,” he said, but there was a vague tremor under his words as the woman in the tree suddenly tensed and snarled, presumably offended by his comment.
Harmless. Yeah. Right.

She did not have to say it twice. His chuckle was deep as he sauntered from the forest and set foot on the edge of the camp. The ground shuddered as he entered through the front doors of his enemies. Her enemies. He felt them retract and heard their silenced and frozen stances as he lift his head, his pupils nearly reddened. He closed them and turned his face to the dark, twisted canopy of his forest. So close it buzzed in his ears. The beserker…
He was in plain view. His gleaming skin, unarmed, void of any armor as he returned his murderous gaze to the caravan of disguised frozen soldiers. Their murmurs were beginning to toy with his senses.
That is the demon… The one who they say fell an angel. Ciel they call him… A purebred zephyr, straight from the troughs of hell…
“It seems we’ve found you,” he purred darkly, answering them, licking his lengthened canines as he felt his nail lengthened and his voice split. He felt the camp shudder. His snarl was vicious and his roar was thunderous as he felt the forest amply it a hundredfold.
”You will not enjoy this,” it was a vicious hiss as time seemed to slow.
He saw them scramble in recognition of his purpose, his presence as he leapt off of the edge and embraced his demonic heritage.
Because as the beserker mode clouded his sense of reason and his civil nature all he smelt was fear and prey. It choked the forest like a toxic gas, a plague that had to be dealt with. Not driven out… exterminated.
His talon’s ripped into the first recruit in his wide reach and the screeching only fueled the diabolical creature. Only surged his high higher and his thirst stronger. His talons tore through the avian’s soft skin as his canines ripped into the soldier’s throat to shreds as the man could only shriek until Ciel reached his vocal chords.
The limp soldier fell to his feet as his chest was already painted with war paint. They circled him, but they were afraid. He snarled viciously, victoriously before ripping into two or three others.
They should be, they should accept their fate. They were all prey to him. And to her.

Keen eyes of blood-splashed gold surveyed her prey for one final moment in the last vestige of her civil mind. She watched them take her in, watched as Ciel appeared below her and stepped up to the crowd of shape shifters, elves, kindle demons, and other creatures of the light. He was massively outnumbered but that didn’t worry her. If anything, she figured it would make it not more fair but more entertaining.
She watched Ciel, not the prey, as he advanced. Watched the way he moved with that animal grace, the way he stood among them and apart from them, above them all as he set up for the slaughter. Then the last of his reason faded behind the blood haze of the berserker and he attacked.
It was so beautiful that Asina paused and caught her breath first. And on that breath was the taste of freshly-spilt blood that pushed her over the edge and submerged her in the fully blown berserker mode. The more powerful the demon, the deeper the insanity that ran them in this terrifying aspect of their natures. It was a state of mind run completely on basic impulses, emotions, needs, and desires. Very dangerous, indeed, because demons this powerful were passionately violent and violently passionate. They are consumed by their own desires and run by their moment-to-moment impulses.
Demons in the berserker mode have been known to kill their own mates, their own children. Not only kill, but consume and desecrate, disgrace them in abominable ways, unaware of what exactly they had done until they somehow broke out of it. Sometimes this timeless mode could last for barely minutes, sometimes it would last for days. The more powerful the demon, the longer it is possible for them to stay within that state of mind unless someone is able to pull them out or they come out of it on their own, making it plausible for a powerful demon to remain berserker for years. Decades.
But right now wasn’t about that. Right now was about the blood and the slaughter. It was about her beautiful mate already drenched in blood the same crimson of his eyes, and Asina launched into the massacre without another thought.
Within seconds she had killed four, maybe five men on her way to the center of the bloodshed. A minute, and she was beginning to take her time, toying with her pray, wounding instead of killing them so that they would suffer and bleed out. So that she could feel their waning heartbeats playing a baleful yet cheerful beat against the melody of the screaming.
It’s her. She exists.
She was splattered with blood, her face a swirl of garnet and alabaster, topped with a crimson-spun ebony as she danced through the massacre, killing each man differently, more painful than the last. A deep, seductive laugh rumbled from her throat as she pinned a man against a tree and allowed his blood to poor down her bare arm and splatter across her chest as she opened his belly with a clean swipe of talons. Then she dropped him and moved onto other, more amusing prey. She needed to feed on their fear. Needed to taste their pain.
And so she did. Though at the sight of Ciel and the way he moved, the way he was ripping these silly enemies to shreds, made her wish to taste something else as well, but she wasn’t willing to choose between them.
Being the Queen, she decided to have both, and began carving her way toward Ciel.

Hn.
“Puppets,” he growled viciously as he grabbed the front of a soldier’s face and crushed it in without so much of an effort... There was a need; a thirst that thrived within him and it could not be sedated. Not until he was satisfied.
So much pain, so many shrieks and screams, so much blood. The ground squished when he stepped to the next pawn. It was so beautifully soaked, his vision only saw red. It only craved red. He felt the thrill wrap its seductive, delicious, power-stroking ways around him as his teeth sunk into the arm of an elven archer, whose blood curling scream made shivers run down his spine.
More, it shrieked, louder….
His lip curled and with a quick twist of his neck the arm gave way as the elven’s body fell to the floor, the blood splattering and pooling like a fountain as the figure gasped for air and flopped around like a fish out of water.
And the screaming… He chuckled maliciously before his foot came down on the soldier’s windpipe, crushing it, blocking an air path. He licked the blood off of a finger as his other hand sliced through the throat of a charging opponent. The soldier gurgled before collapsed to his demise.
It’s her. She exists.
Who exists? He was so lost in his bloodlust, his power, his beserker he had forgotten his reason. He turned only to see her killing every creature in her path that stood between him and her. “Asina,” he crooned in a soft voice that promised such a vicious outcome, unable to take his eyes off of her as she sliced through them all. Her talons soaked with blood.
He felt his blood tinted eyes rolled to the back of his head at the thought of the feel of her. Her lithe frame against his, soaping wet with crimson. Delicious crimson his tongue would skim off of her and savor like the finest of wines.
His vicious eyes opened to see a soldier before him, sword raised. Pity. Ciel was lightning fast as the sword missed horribly. The soldier was in his clutches before he’d raised the sword off the forest floor. Ciel skimmed his teeth against the soldier’s still untouched skin as Asina neared him.
Ciel pulled his blood-drenched queen to him, snarling viciously down at her, his dominance needing to be claimed as he latched viciously on to the soldier in his grasp. His teeth sunk in deeply as the soldier screeched before Ciel tore from him, planting a red soaked kiss on his queen’s hot lips before he snapped the solder’s spine in half over his knee…

The only thing in the world that existed was this drive to slaughter and to touch. To kill, to rejoice, to devour, to exterminate, to slaughter and to touch. She needed to feel the blood on her skin, every inch of it. She needed to taste it, to feel it sink into her pores and empower her to further exact her delight on these silly little morsels. It was just too easy to slice through them, too simple to reach forward and tear a whole in a chest or remove a head from a pair of broad shoulders. Simple and easy, yes, but still very satisfying. The only thing that could make it better was him.
She reached Ciel and he spotted her. The way his eyes glided over her made her blood boil and she let out a feral, savage growl even as he snarled and pulled her close to where she could feel the fine tremors of tension in his muscles as he held a struggling victim less than an arm-length away from them. Oh, and his lips. They touched her and she let out a sound no creature of light and goodness could make. A sound of things more primal even than the need for safety and sustenance. The need for blood and body. In any way. In all ways. The glorious sound of a spine snapping had her nearly purring in dark and velvety anticipation before she reached around his sinewy form and pushed her hand into an elven chest and pulled out the man’s heart, tossing it over her shoulder to dispose of it.
Asina didn’t particularly like the taste of elf blood. It was much too sweet.
“Ciel,” she crooned, then smirked and pulled away from him, nearly dancing around the men who were trying to attack her. She just sliced them down, using nothing but her own talons and her teeth. She ripped out hearts, tore throats out with a savage bite, and when someone irritated her for whatever reason she injured them just enough that they would die slower and much more painfully.
Then, almost as suddenly as it had started, it was over. And all the puppets were dead.
A sound from a tent, the beating of a heart. All but one.
Asina looked to Ciel and smirked before slowly sauntering toward the tent, so slick with blood that it looked like crimson was the color of her skin. Normally she would leave one alive to report back to her stupid sister, tell her of the slaughter. Yes, normally. But normally it was on the battlefield or outside her own city. Normally it wasn’t in her forest when she was riding her demon. Normally it was when her own men were here as well and she had to keep herself from entering berserker so that she could control her own forces.
But now was different. She reached into the tent and dragged out the last surviving puppet. He was young, hardly old enough to be enlisted, and hadn’t even come into his power yet.
His blood was delicious.
When the limp body fell from her grasp, she turned to Ciel again, watching him from across the field of bodies they had left. These bodies would be eaten by the creatures of the forest. By the very shadows of the forest.
Somewhere in the middle of it all, Nightmare had returned and he, too, was soaked with the blood of his kills. He let out a nicker and slowly walked toward his mistress, drawing her attention with his movement. A smirk slipped over her lips when she saw him and she rose her hands to greet him, stroking his nose and kissing it, biting it gently. “Hello, Nightmare.”

They were no match for him. Not one pathetic creature could match his magnificence, not one single puppet.
They he felt the last of hearts fall to silence. This silence was eerie to his senses, strange in his mind. The screaming had deafened, their moans defeated, their pleadings and cries unanswered as they swirled into the dark depths of the floor. The shadows of this forest curled about his aura, ready to pounce as he growled, the buzzing of his beserker scorching and reducing bodies to piles of ash.
His power knew a limit, a limit he had not tested, a limit he did not know, one that he never had a use for. The shadows were thick as they engulfed the blood spattered clearing, dismembered figures piled randomly, viciously casted aside as if they were nothing.
They were nothing.
“Puppets,” he growled out once again, his bare foot resting on a dead mans face, before he pushed his weight into and felt the malicious crack under it.
Red… Slick, hot red. A purr simmered from him as his eyes caught sight of something delicious, beautiful. An appetizer to satiate his unending, gluttonous, hunger. He stalked to her, his steps shaking and scorching the skins of the soldier black. His eyes… wickedly crimson, indecipherable and completely unreadable. “Come now, my dear,” his claws grew sharper as he outstretched his hand, a seductive growl humming against her dangerous, powerful aura. “Come and play…”
His words promised such wonderful, destructive memories as he awaited. The stallion snapped his attention sharply to the side as a light snarl destroyed the flawlessness of his face.
’Simmer..’ It chuckled to him as his snarl relaxed.
“Nightmare.”
Ah yes… her precious stallion indeed…

The powerful demon stallion bowed his head in respect to his Lady’s mate, then returned his attention to the seductive fingers trailing absently along his nose. They touched for a few moments, basking in the fresh blood that clung to each of them, delighting in the way it all mingled wherever there was contact. Then the great stallion stepped back and nudged Asina toward Ciel, what looked like a wicked kind of amusement gleaming in his blood red eyes.
Asina rose a brow at Nightmare. “How chivalrous of you,” she crooned, then turned from him and back to Ciel, her gaze dangerous and clearly showing that she was still a liberated demon. A creature with no ties to society. A beast of primal urges and impulses. She would act on a stray thought if it pleased her, and that indeed was a very, very dangerous thing.
Nightmare had pulled himself back from his berserker, had tethered himself back to a kind of reason and logic. The blood had not faded from his eyes, but the stallion was close to rational again as he met Ciel’s gaze over his Lady’s head. No words passed between them, but the gaze was severe and meaningful. The message in them was quite clear. Because a full-blood demon stallion with a bonded rider did not just step aside and give another access to her. A full-blood demon of the power caliber that Nightmare was in did not just stand aside and encourage his queen to go to another male, even if that male was her mate. He wouldn’t stop her if she turned form him herself, as long as he trusted the male she was going to, but he wouldn’t encourage her forward.
But Asina was different. Asina in her rampage was much different. Because the only one who could reach her with any sense of reason was Ciel, and Nightmare knew it. He also knew that the moment Asina remembered who it was that sent the warriors they had just slaughtered there was a very could chance that she would attempt to go after that person.
That was too risky. She might very well succeed, but it was still too risky and not worth the life of his Queen.
Asina’s hand slid against Ciel’s and she looked up at him with a wicked smirk. “”Play?” she crooned. “What did you have in mind?”

A wondrous thing this power was. A beautiful compelling and seductive thing. How could he ever hold it back? How could he even dare to try and control it? It stroked his senses and ran tremors and surges of power. They tingled and skitted lovely stings and zap across his drenched skin.
His wet lips were licked as every sense was amplified, every reason simplified. Survival instincts and power. Simple, luscious, reasons of life. He chuckled darkly, lost in his reverie, his lust, of the beautiful thing he was. The stoic, powerful thing he was. How vain his demonic nature was, and yet, how absurdly perfect his sculpted soul was… in every darkened way.
It was such a mystery he’d been coaxed to civil life, to controlled life. Bizarre, unnatural, and smart. He would’ve fallen long ago had it not been for that thought process to befall him. But who…
Ah yes. He remembered once again, his thoughts mingling in some melting pot of misconstrued timelines. Asina..
Those stained eyes opened, his pupils lost to the bloodlust. The stallion… This… Nightmare. gracing the forest floor in respect and acceptance of he and Asina’s bond. He smirked, nodding the same amount of acceptance to the male, the pride coating his drenched form so thickly it was hard to read him. But there was something in Nightmare’s gaze that had him grasping the last single strand of reason… The pure red in his pupils became a shade darker, not by much, trying to understand why this pony seemed to elicit such strong emotions, to understand why he all but shoved his rider to his feet.
Asina…
The threat of Nightmare was gone, dissipated in his beserking mind, but something other than respect remained, something strong. Ciel’s gaze shifted back to Asina, trying to focus through the power, to comply with Nightmare’s ‘words’. His eyes shifted back to the powerful stallion, hearing a snap in the back of his mind as he latched to the outskirts of the stallion’s mental walls.
’Your trust will not be in vain.’ A glint of amusement flitted about the dark red of his pupils before they became bright once again.
A hand, a slithering, slick hand made him shudder a sigh. Her delicious skin igniting a vicious need for attention, as he was lost to the stallion and found by her molten gaze.
‘What did you have in mind?’
He licked those lips again, a hunger rising. “Show me your forest, devil…” His claws raked deeply against the flesh of her arm. “Show me…” A wicked chuckle only eluded to what else.

The great and powerful stallion merely snorted softly, then turned and walked leisurely away, in no hurry to get to wherever he was going. He could meet up with his Lady and her mate at any time, whenever he was needed, so for now he would take a stroll and leave the other two to each other. Before he was too far away, however, he looked back over at the pair and sent one final message to the other male, something that was odd all in its own because demonic horses rarely spoke directly to those not of their kind other than their rider –if they had one.
-I believe you.- It was a high compliment and a grave weight of trust and responsibility. It was more than Nightmare had even given Zanen, whose Seal had been on Asina for more than a thousand years.
With that parting, the blood-drenched stallion disappeared between the shadows of the trees.
In the haze of her berserker Asina noticed no kind of exchange between her bonded stallion and her mate. Perhaps a kind of acknowledgement and if she had thought on it more she might have picked up on something more, but she didn’t care enough in her current state to do so. No, she just wanted her Ciel. His hands on her, his mouth on her, flesh sinking into flesh and his teeth, claws, and every part of him pressing into her so hard that she screamed for want of him. For need of him. Oh yes, and she needed him. Her skin, her very blood ached for his touch.
When his attention returned to her and he responded she let out a low and sensual laugh, her hands sliding up through the gore that painted his chest to grip his shoulders, her talons biting into his flesh as she raised up on her toes to press her mouth to his, eating at it savagely before lowering her caress to his jaw, then his neck, allowing the taste of blood to rile her up, and then finally the taste of his own sweet crimson to fully arouse her.
A deep sort of moan crooned in her chest as she bit his neck sharply, them pressed her lips to her ear, having to strain her neck up to reach. “The throne of thorns and shadows. My throne. It is nearby, I can feel it calling me. Would you like to see it? Would you like to touch it?” Now she growled, pulling her body so close to his that she could feel the beating of it, all the tension in it and it made her so hungry for him.

His expression was victorious, the weight of Nightmare’s voiceless words stroking his pride. The stallion was not that bad after all. Ciel, of course, was not up to date on Nightmare and Zanen’s relations with one another. He had no idea they hated the other or that Nightmare very much wanted to take his head off.
Oh my, he could that delicious heat under her skin, wanting to rake him apart. He could only smile darkly down at as he felt her soul squirm for him, reach of him. “Pretty little monster,” he cooed viciously, his gaze drinking her in.
He groaned as her talons dug into his skin, her lips at his jaw, his skin, his neck, his… Ciel snarled wickedly as her sharp teeth dug into him, his claws ripping into her untouched skin as he melted them together. The moan of his mate drove his senses into a blur of desire, Asina being the cause, Asina being the only thing to satiate his hunger.
She whispered something toxic and heated in his ear and it was all he could do to please her wishes. His eyes landed hazily on the tree near them and a twinge of amusement danced in them. Oh dear… the destruction he was about to bring on the forest. “Mmm why is it…” he breathed huskily, swiftly gathering her in his strong arms, her neck in his grip as he slammed her into a tree. He snarled and snapped at her, enraging her, dominating her. Oh she would hate that. He wanted her to rip him apart, he wanted to taste her pain, bathe in her desire. He wanted it all.
“That you bring out the worst in me…”
His teeth were deep in her neck before another syllable could be uttered. His mark. He shuddered as the realization of her being solely his rolled through him over and over...

Oh yes, and he felt so good against her, so natural with his flesh beneath her fierce talons, the taste of him rolling over her tongue. It made her burn, made her want to let out a warrior’s shriek of dominance, to show that he was hers and all hers. She wanted to demonstrate what she and only she was allowed to do to him, with him. Because he was hers. All hers.
It was a thought that was revolving around her head, faster and faster, drowning out almost everything else, a persuasive mantra that made her croon and purr with sensual delight. Mine, her mind whispered. Mineminemineminemine…..
Then he moved. He acted. He pushed against her, he lifted her, her back slammed into a tree and she could feel the power of his digits as they flexed around her neck. An enraged, ferocious snarl curled up from deep in her chest, her whole body tensed and ready for retaliation. Still, a smirk graced the petite, dainty even curves of her face at his words, though it melted into a different expression when his teeth sunk into her neck. A low moan of pain and pleasure rolled from her lips and she basked in the feeling of him for just a few moments before she slammed her body forward with enough force to take them both to the ground with her straddling his waist, knees gripping him tightly.
She leaned in, snarling in his face before she leaned down and kissed him viciously, drawing blood from his lip, her hands locking his to the ground as she took up the dominant position.
“Why?” she murmured in response to his question, then gave a dark chuckle before her lips drifted to his ear, her voice a low and husky growl. “Why not?”
